No Money was Paid Back to the Victim and the Crook was freed Update: 2005.05.14

Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan Ahmed the Con man that took the Abu Dhabi Police force over a year to catch is now free again and out wondering around with conned money in his pockets. After struggling for over a year with the Dubai Police Headquarters in catching Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan Ahmed, they finally had captured him to bring him to justice. I was unable to help in any way as this con-man was pretty much protected by the Local Laws set up in the Emirates to protect local crooks and criminals. Finding him was one of the most difficult tasks. The police only work half day in Abu Dhabi and trying to find the person in charge was nearly impossible every time. Faxes from the Dubai Police Headquarters were rarely ever responded to or followed up upon. After being put in jail, it was not long before he was released by the local authoritities as the Dubai courts had an order from Abu Dhabi to release this crook fom jail without paying money to any of the people he conned. The dude was out of jail within two months and had jail time served for all the people he had conned under one sentence! Amazing con 5 or 10 people in the U.A.E. and serve one sentence for all of the charges.

Under Sheikh Zayehds Rule there was a law signed by him that any local which had any dues ( money due to any one with a court order ) had to be transferred to the Diwahn and the Diwahn would pay on his behalf while he had to be employed to pay back the Diwahn. Basically the government bails out the crook and then he has to pay back the government , right?? Well in this case they bailed him out without him paying back any money to anyone and now the Diwahn refuses to pay or honor the law signed by Sheikh Zayehd. They Basically released him or bailed him out and let him go while victims were conned from money and had court judgements won against him.

I won my court lawsuit and waited for over 2 years now and his where abouts are unknown and I have not received a penny from the Diwahn until now. They freed a conman an have not followed up on the case. Islam in Dubai or a corrupt system that is either not well organized or fully backs up local crooks the cheat and con people in the U.A.E. This is quite sad. I am out over $100,000 not to count additional expenses which I am not entitled for reimburesement by teh governement. I spent over $20,000 in extra expenses trying to find this con man which I hope one day burns and rots in hell for all the horror he has caused to the people and families he has cheated. The person who released him from jail or ordered his release has caused tremendous pain to me and I am sure other people that were cheated as well. Until now we are unable to place any ads in the paper looking for this person and teh news media does not cover such news on ther local nationals.

Is this justice in Dubai or corruption today in Dubai.. I won my court case and he should not have been released from jail until he payed back his funds and I am sure that had he spent a few more months in jail he would have payed back the money he had conned me out of but he knew that he would only sit two months in jail and then be released. He would be one happy camper after as he had faith in the local system for having mercy on him. What a crook he was and what a system that exists in Dubai these days??
